Teofilo Kisanji University (TEKU) is owned by the Moravian Church in Tanzania. Its origin is a Theological College, which was established in the early 1960s. It was fully registered as a university in 2007. The faculties are Education, Theology, Arts and Social Sciences, and Science and Technology. TEKU has side campuses in Dar es Salaam and in Tabora.
