Tanzania Livestock Research Institute (TALIRI) was established through Act No. 4 of 2012 and was gazetted in the Government Gazette of the United Republic of Tanzania No. 30 Vol 93 dated 27th, july 2012. Generally, TALIRI is charged with the mandate of conducting and coordinating livestock research in order to improve and coordinating livestock research in order to improve and sustain the development of the livestock sector in the country.
